Global Colours Studio Gesso is recommended for surface preparation and sealing for oil or acrylic paints. It has excellent tooth and adhesion when dry offering outstanding flexibility, water and UV resistance. 100% Acrylic Polymer.
Apply with a broad brush onto surfaces free from dust and grease. May be diluted with water up to 10% to allow for absorption into surfaces of varying porosity e.g. canvas, board, plaster, concrete etc. Achieve a smooth surface by applying several thin coats, sand lightly between each coat – minimum of 3 coats are required if preparing for oil painting. Allow 1 to 2 hours dry time depending on weather conditions. Do not use below 12°C ambient temperature. Clean all equipment with soap and water without delay.
