These paints have a high pigment load that are light, fast and engineered to withstand the heat requirements of the encaustic process. With Enkaustikos’ advanced milling system, the pigments are milled to their finest particle size making our paints densely pigmented, creamy, and yeilding the most vibrant and intense colors. To use, place the metal tin directly on your hot palette for easy heating. The lid can be used to protect your paints during storage. The Hot Cakes tin itself can also be refilled with the Original Cakes.
